He was a great uncle, his wife, Auntie Florrie, both greatly loved. He introduced the early radio set to my father when on Feb 12 1923 my father and his brother cycled to Loughton from East Ham and heard Cinderella on his set. By June that year my father was building his own radio set. Information from my father’s diaries (Stanley R Richards).
He was an inspiration for me to get accepted at Seale Hayne Agricultural College where he had been a Governor for many years. We also enjoyed seeing them at Broadhembury and Loughton. Our paths may have crossed! Hazel, Delia & Monica parents Stan & Kath Richards.

Good evening,
I was just browsing the internet and came across this site.
My father was Sir Donald Vandepeer's half brother. I used spend summers with Uncle Donald and his wife, Auntie Florence in Loughton and then in Broad Hembury when he retired. I spent most of my childhood summers with them.
You're welcome to contact me if you wish.
