Yvonne De Carlo (1922-), Actress

Born Peggy Yvonne Middleton in Vancouver, Canada, De Carlo made her film debut in 1942, but came to wider attention in 1945 when she played the title role in Walter Wanger's Salome-Where she Danced. British films include Hotel Sahara (1951) and The Captain's Paradise (1953). Notably played Sephora, opposite Charlton Heston's Moses in The Ten Commandments (1956). In the early 1950s was voted 'the most beautiful woman in the world' and was engaged for a short time to Cornel Lucas before marrying Hollywood stuntman and actor Robert Morgan in 1955.
