Joan Seton McConnell (1918-1996) Attended Central School of Art and was a painter and illustrator throughout her life. Married Richard Martin Fishenden (Physicist and administrator at AERE Harwell) and lived in Chilton, Oxon. One son (dec) and one daughter.
Books illustrated include: 'Me and my Mice' by Patricia Thompson and 'Pastures New' by Prynne Hutton.
Painted mostly rural countryside and also industrial subjects including many of AERE Harwell and Culham a collection being held at Culham Laboratories, Abingdon.
