Juliette Alvin lived on Lanchester Road, East Finchley. My mother was her housekeeper between 1978 (?) and 1980. I visited my mother there, not long after Ms Alvin's husband had died. Her daughter was a Chemistry PhD and worked at Warwick University. Ms Alvin was seriously illl with cancer at the time but was a beautiful, gracious, lady. She reminded me of a delicate little bird.
