Descended from Pierre Cazalet (1734-1788)whose sons William and Noah were the progenitors of the Cazalet family that include Sir Peter's cousins the racehorse trainer Peter(1907-1973)whose 2nd wife was the step daughter of P G Wodehouse, and the cosmopolitan soldier Victor(1896-1943)who was godfather to the actress Elizabeth Taylor and was killed with General Sikorski in a plane crash off Gibralta in 1943.
