Koto Bolofo

Photographer. Bolofo moved from South Africa to Britain with his family as a child, and studied graphic design and photography at art college. His first photography commission was for British Vogue, in 1983. Since then, he has worked on many high profile fashion and advertising shoots, as well as his own art and film projects. A nine-year project in South Africa culminated with the film Sibusiso Mbhele and his Fish Helicopter, first shown at MOMA, New York, in 2000. His book of the same title was awarded the Rencontres d'Arles Award for Best Photography Book of 2002.
