I presume you know she played Miss Agatha Tibbs in all 12 episodes of Fawlty Towers. She was also in Only Fools and Horses, Beryls Lot and about 45 other TV/Films from 1932-1991. Born on August 26, 1908 in Hendon, London, England as Gertrude Adele Jacobs. She was married to Norman Fenton Tardrew. She died on February 17, 2001 in Surrey, England.
In around 2000-2001 she was interviewed from her Nursing Home about Fawlty Towers in the Daily Mirror.
