Giles Deacon

Fashion Designer. Born in Darlington and brought up in the Lake District. Deacon graduated from St Martins School of Art in 1992, before collaborating with Fi Doran on the label Doran Deacon. In 2000 he joined Bottega Veneta as head designer before debuting his own label 'Giles' in 2004. Voted Best New Designer at the British Fashion awards in 2004 and named 2006 Designer of the Year. Deacon has been appointed as a designer for Daks and launched the 'Gold' range for high street store, New Look, in March 2007.
