Economist and journalist. Davis studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at St John's College, Oxford (1981-4) and gained an MPA at Harvard University. He worked for the Institute for Fiscal Studies before joining the BBC as an economics correspondent in 1993, becoming Economics Editor in 2001. Evans gained wider public prominence as the presenter of BBC2 television business reality show Dragon's Den (from 2005), through his BBC blog Evanomics and, since April 2008, as a presenter on BBC Radio Four's Today programme.
