IAN OLIVER MARTIN

Yes! As to my forefather, Sir Henry Martin (aka Henry Marten), he is a direct descendant of the Franco-Bavarian Dynastie, formed in central France as the Maison de Blois (House of Blois) from which Stephen of Blois, King of England also descends. Both men belong to YDNA Haplogroup R1a1a (R-M198) as I certify with my male genetics which were inherited from Theobald the Old (Le Viuex). Amanda Taylor added a tree which I learned from, but she did not discuss, Sir Henry Martin, second son, my grandfather, George Giles Martin (aslo Marten) GGG was a Lord Mayor of Belfast (Ireland) and after forced removable by Oliver Cromwell, relocated to Clifton Hall, Barbados, where he was Speaker of Parliament. GGG died in Fort Zeelandia (Fort Willoughby), Paramaibo, Suriman. I found grandfather Sir Henry Martin to be buried in the floor the Anglican church of Saint Mary's in Longworth, Oxfordshire, England, UK with his daughter ( my great aunt MARY)... Though not exhaustive, there are some notes on this page as well:
