Actor, comedian, writer, film producer and director. Born in Gloucester, Pegg studied drama at the University of Bristol. His work as a stand-up comedian led to a number of television roles including Asylum (1996), Big Train (1998) and Spaced (1999). He is best known for the films Shaun of the Dead (2004), and Hot Fuzz (2007), in both of which he starred and co-wrote with Edgar Wright.
