Martin Culliford

CJ Culliford was my great grandfather. Charles John Culliford was born Bath in 1817 and died in London in 1893. In the 1861 census he is recorded as being a lithographer living at 22 Southampton Street, Covent Garden. He was married to Mary Jane Clark and had four children Mary Jane, Charles Stewart, Henry Thomas (my grandfather) and Emma Matilda who died aged 7. The printing works CJ Culliford and Sons was eventually taken over by Henry Thomas. Unfortunately the company became the subject of bankruptcy proceedings in 1907.
