Hilary Rose (b.1935), feminist sociologist and activist, became Professor of Social Policy at the University of Bradford in 1975. Her books include Love, Power and Knowledge (1994) and, with Steven Rose Science and Society (1969) and Alas Poor Darwin: arguments against evolutionary psychology (2000).
