She was the daughter of Captain Arthur Dodgson, brother of Campbell Dodgson, Edward Spencer Dodgson, and of 4 others including my great grandfather Charles Heathfield Dodgson. She was first cousin of the artist John Arthur Dodgson, who was the father of the musician Stephen Cuthbert Dodgson. She married Jim Byam Shaw in 1929, they were divorced in 1938. In 1939 she married art collector William Wilberforce Winkworth, and they lived happily ever after.
