Partner and later managing director of a tweed mill in the border country, Wilson & Glenny. He married Julia Baker Tod, daughter of Andrew Tod and Mary Stewart Kennedy Tod. They lived at the Cunards' old residence, "Orchards," two miles from East Grinstead.
