D.P. Pariset

(1740-active 1783), Engraver

Artist associated with 21 portraits
D.P Pariset is thought to have trained with Des Marteau, under whom he learned the art of engraving in the chalk style. He came to England in 1767, where he found employment with the engraver William Ryland. He also engraved plates for the collection of prints from the drawings of great masters, published by Rogers. Pariset also produced portrait engravings of artists, and others, after Falconet, including Sir Joshua Reynolds, Benjamin West, Francis Cotes and William Ryland.
