A painting by T. H. Illidge was exhibited RA, 1846 (93) and SKM, 1868 (561), reproduced Art Journal (1849), p 48; a painting by Mrs J. M. Rogers was exhibited RA, 1856 (365); a drawing by himself was in the collection of D. Guérault, 1922 (tracing of drawing in NPG); a drawing by Count A. D'Orsay was sold at Sotheby's, 13 February 1950 (lot 216), bought Colnaghi; a miniature by himself is in the Victoria and Albert Museum, reproduced G. C. Williamson, The History of Portrait Miniatures (1904), II, plate LXXVII; another, or possibly the same miniature, was in the Exhibition of Portrait Miniatures, Burlington Fine Arts Club, 1889, case X (52), lent by J. Whitehead; a miniature by Mrs Dalton is in the Royal Collection; a miniature by W. Ross (his father), with his brother and sisters, was exhibited RA, 1809 (690); a miniature by Miss M. Ross was exhibited RA, 1834 (830); busts by F. W. Smith, E. W. Wyon, and P. Park were exhibited RA, 1824 (1035), 1840 (1123), and 1844 (1352); woodcuts, after photographs by J. Watkins, were published ILN, XXX (1857), 418, and XXXVI (1860), 113.
