Newton was sold at Christie's, 23 June 1890 (lot 171), pencil sketch in NPG sale catalogue; a wooden bust by an unknown artist of 1876 is at Christ Church, Oxford; a bust by T. W. Rowe was exhibited RA, 1874 (1622); a woodcut was published ILN, VII (1845), 336; there are several photographs, and woodcuts and engravings after photographs, in the NPG; others are reproduced R. G.
