Room 4This room includes a selection of portraits of well-known figures from the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. Two of King Henry VIII’s six wives, Anne Bolyen and Katherine Parr, are displayed alongside favourites from the court of Henry’s daughter, the ‘Virgin Queen’ Elizabeth I. These include the courtiers Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester and Robert Devereux, Earl of Essex.
