Grillion's Club
262 Portraits in set
262 portrait engravings and autotypes of members of the Grillions Club after Joseph Slater, George Richmond, Henry Tanworth Wells, Frank Dicksee and other artists. The Grillions Club originated in 1812 as a dining club and meeting place for political members. It took its name from the Grillions Hotel where members met from 1813. A resolution passed in 1826 established the tradition of commissioning an engraved portrait of each member.
