The group which includes Ramsay MacDonald (back row centre) and John Hodge (back row , 4th from left) is pictured on the House of Commons Terrace following a goodwill visit to Germany in the Spring. As part of an effort to foster better relations between England and Germany and to dispel mounting anti-German sentiment, members were given a tour of the Rhineland and were honoured with a lunch at the Reichstag hosted by the Imperial Chancellor.
