Photographed for the Sunday Times which Ward joined in the mid 1960s contributing portraiture and news stories. Continued at the paper until 1994 latterly focusing on coverage of the arts. Represented by over 50 works in the National Portrait Gallery collection, Ward is currently working on his autobiography.
