Gandhi leads the Salt March. The march to the coast was a direct protest against the British monopoly on the sale of salt and inspired hordes of Indians to follow him and adopt his methods of Satyagraha (non-violent resistance to the British rule of India).Stalin orders the 'liquidation of the kulaks (wealthy farmers) as a class' in a violent attempt to centralise control of agriculture and collectivise farming.

I am the great grandson of Lady Dhunbai Jehangir (1860 - 1940) whose photo this is. She was married to Sir Cowasji Jehangir, 1st Bart, as correctly mentioned. However the caption has erroneously mentioned it as Lady Hirabai Jehangir (my grandmother). To reiterate, the photo is of Lady Dhunbai.

I noticed that you have mentioned her to be the wife of Sir Cowasji Jehangir 2nd, Bart. In fact Lady Dhunbai was the mother of Sir CJ 2nd Bart and the wife of Sir CJ 1st Bart.
