This portrait was a magazine commission, to photograph eleven well known subjects in the context of their hair styles, and included Mary Hopkin, Patrick Lichfield, Margaret Thatcher and newsreader Leonard Parkin. Lousada photographed Greer in the year that her classic text The Female Eunuch was first published, and while Greer was lecturing at Warwick University (1967-72).
