This portraitback to top
Vanessa and the children lived mostly at Charleston Farmhouse in East Sussex from 1916. It became their 'beloved' place in the country, the centre of what Quentin Bell described as 'Bloomsbury by the sea', the Woolfs' Monk's House being a short distance away at Rodmell.
