The 18 year old Winifred Radford married Major Douglas Illingworth at St Margaret's Church, Westminster. The ceremony was performed by Reverend F. W. Westlake. The bride was given away by her father and she wore a gown of white stain beauté, embroidered in silver and diamanté and a long tulle veil bordered with lace.
