Richard Burton was filming Villain (1971) when O'Neill took this photograph. Burton played top crime boss Vic Dakin in the Krays-influenced Gangster film. Burton married Taylor in 1964 after their well-publicized romance as co-stars on Cleopatra (1964). They made several films together including Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966). Subsequently they divorced and later married for a second time.
