Julian Hicks

I believe my 3rd Great Grandfather Robert Hicks engraved the 9 pictures in which in the name Robert Hicks was mentioned. I have no real proof other than he is named in the census returns and on his death certificate as an Historical Engraver. He was born in Bramley, Surrey ,the son of a tanner John Hicks in 1786, died in Swinton Street if the Grays End Road in 1864. His son Julian Shirlock Bult Hicks became a well known scenic artist , working with Henry Hawes Craven Green among others. Julian's son's Julian Robert Alexander , and George Frederick were also scenic artist and the other sons were model makers while several daughters also worked in theatre as singers/actors or dress makers. I am still trying to find a connection between Robert and the publishing company.
