Rev Hamilton Murray was my Great Grandfather. Born 1788 in Dailly Ayrshire. Served mostly in Gateshead England. He lovingly took care of the sick during the Cholera outbreak in 1840s. His grateful parishioners had a portrait painted in thanks. His health was impacted by the attending to the sick and he died in 1844. I have seen two slightly different images of this potrait. I believe one was the original and on a etched copy. Can't find the other image now.
