I believe this is incorrectly listed and should be by his son, also known as Henry Calton Maguire. It must have been done some time between 1855 - 1871 and Henry Calton Maguire Senior died in 1854. I have no citation for this, however I am his great great grandson and have a collection of Calton Maguire Junior's original work as well as a Thomas Herbert Maguire original of 4 men playing cards very similar in style to the 'Dan Tucker' oil you have.
