This is not a portrait of George Clive and his family but of Tysoe Saul Hancock, surgeon for the East India Company, Clarinda, their 'ayah' from India, daughter Elizabeth Hancock and his wife Philadelphia Hancock, nee Austen, aunt of Jane Austen. The original portrait is in the Gemaldegalerie Gallery in Berlin.
