BEN SUMMERSKILL

Ben Summerskill was appointed the Chief Executive of the UK-based lesbian, gay and bisexual rights lobby organisation Stonewall in 2003, now the largest gay equality body in Europe. He led parliamentary campaigns for the introduction of civil partnership and also for pioneering new protections for gay people against discrimination in the delivery of public services, introduced in 2007.
