Book a Creative Art Workshop

Discover the Gallery with your group by booking a free creative art workshop at the Gallery or at your hospital school or community organisation. These artist-led workshops are popular with young people and each is tailor-made to suit your group’s needs, abilities and interests.

Over 400 years of British history is told through portraits of inspirational people. Discover the Gallery’s fascinating Collection of people and their stories.

What’s in a Portrait?
Discover what a portrait says about you by exploring pose, expression, clothing, background, accessories and composition.

These 90 mins. workshops are available Monday – Friday. Outreach workshops are available for groups in London working with young people unable to visit the Gallery. To discuss your group’s requirements and book contact education@npg.org.uk


Resources

The Gallery has worked collaboratively with artists and hospital schools for over 10 years. It has created a resource for young people to explore inspirational people in the Collection and a toolkit for Museum and Gallery professionals working with hospital schools.
