Every picture tells a story
Imagine a football match with Henry VIII and Madonna as the star players and Tony Blair as the referee!
That's what a group of young people dreamt up when they explored the National Portrait Gallery's Collection.
Each year two groups of young people with learning disabilities have the opportunity to create their own animations in a four-day workshop at the Gallery. Using portraits from the Collection as their inspiration, participants work with professional animators and artists to develop their ideas and create their own animations, which are shown in a public screening at the Gallery.
