Taylor Wessing Community Programme Case Study:
Blackfriars Settlement

Taking their inspiration from the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition and the Gallery’s Photographic Collection, participants from Blackfriars Settlement explored the issues surrounding contemporary portrait photography via a series of Gallery visits and outreach activities. Blackfriars Settlement run a number of projects to help improve the lives of marginalised older people in Southwark, Lambeth and inner London.

During the project participants worked with professional photographers to develop their photography skills and to create their own series of images, a selection of which are included here.
