CPD for SEN Teachers

Led by an experienced photographer and Gallery educator, this course aims to offer teachers ways to access the gallery as a resource for learning, and to assist teachers to develop their pupils' visual literacy skills. Particularly suitable for Key Stage 3 and 4 teachers who teach pupils with special educational needs, the session includes an introductory tour of selected works in the Gallery’s Collection and a short practical photography session.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Teachers are given the opportunity to explore jobs and skills needed to create an exhibition space and gain insights into the sector through a behind-the-scenes tour.
Teachers gain knowledge and understanding by identifying roles in each department including general job descriptions, skills base and career paths.
