A property of the National Trust

Beningbrough Hall in Yorkshire houses a substantial collection of the Gallery 's portraits from the period 1688 - 1760 in richly decorated baroque interiors. As well as examples of the work of such artists as Gainsborough, Reynolds, Ramsay and Kneller, there are portraits of Samuel Pepys, Handel and the poet Alexander Pope.
