Bodelwyddan Castle, Denbighshire,
North Wales, provides a splendid setting for a significant group
of portraits from the Gallery 's nineteenth-century collection.
On display are works by George Frederic Watts, John Singer Sargent
and Ford Madox Brown. The first floor rooms have recently been
refurbished and offer interactive displays exploring the theme
of making portraits as well as offering a showcase for touring
exhibitions both from the National Portrait Gallery and from
other organisations such as the National Library of Wales.
