Robert Dighton 1751-1814

'A View from the Swanhouse Brewhouse Oxford', William ('Squire') Hall, published 1807

Known as 'Squire' Hall, he was the owner of the Swan Brewery in Oxford, and is said to have invited Robert Dighton to Oxford to draw a portrait of John Ireland, M.D.

Some copies of this etching have been mis-inscribed 'Mr Swan'.
