Paper Portraits - Falling Wide
Falling between dance and the visual arts, Paper Portraits explores
danceís relationship to artistsí materials: how
movement influences art, the choreography of construction and
how line, colour and sculptural form can bear its mark on movement
and space. Performed within the galleries, five dancers will
create life-sized self-portraits influenced by the sitters in
the Collection.
Event Cancelled - please see 3 July for details of alternative

Vorticism vs Bloomsbury Study Day
Wyndham Lewis, through Vorticism, and the Bloomsbury circle shared
a common determination to pioneer a British response to Modernism.
They worked and exhibited together in close collaboration until
their differences were very publicly aired in a row over the
Ideal Home Exhibition in 1914. Richard Cork, Frances Spalding
and Richard Humphreys are among the leading critics, curators
and art historians who will explore the conflicts and allegiances
that sparked the rift and its consequences.
Tickets: £45/£35 concessions and Gallery Supporters
(includes wine reception and entry to the Wyndham Lewis Portraits
exhibition)
