Venue hire

The National Portrait Gallery is a distinctive and stylish venue for coporate events. The Twentieth Century Galleries are perfect for receptions, offering ample space within an attractive, contemporary context. Other Galleries with their rich historic associations provide one of the most prestigious locations for a private dinner in London - particularly the elegant Weldon Galleries.

One-off hire
Galleries are available for corporate hire throughout the year.

Corporate Partnership
As a Corporate Member/Regency Partner of the National Portrait Gallery your company is offered a full range of business, staff and client benefits including priority venue hire which incorporates a private view for corporate hospitality and networking events.
Corporate Members (£6,500 + VAT per year) receive a 50% discount for each event
Regency Partners (£16,000 + VAT per year) are exclusively entitled to one free hire of the Weldon Galleries for a dinner event during the year's membership (can be substituted for one free dinner hire, or two free reception hires in other Gallery spaces) as well as a 50% discount on further venue hire.

Making your event a success
We are always happy to advise on catering and other services such as music, lighting and flowers, from our approved list of suppliers.

We can provide Gallery images for use on your invitations, programmes and menu cards. We can also arrange guided tours, special displays and talks by specialists. Companies not subscribing to the Corporate Membership Scheme are usually charged a small fee for these additional services.

• The National Portrait Gallery is available to hire Monday - Wednesday evenings
• Rates after the set time period are £1,000 per hour or part thereof
• Access into the Gallery for guests is from 18:30 hours
• No Smoking allowed in any of the galleries (smoking is permitted in The Portrait Restaurant)
• Red wine is not permitted in any of the galleries for stand up receptions
• Prices are exclusive of VAT
