Oxford Thursday May 19 1831
My Dear Sir
Pray oblige me with one line by the post of tomorrow or Saturday
to inform me if you wish me to bring (illegible) for my first
(and subsequent) sittings my old friend the Hyena's Head.
I take for granted that I
must bring my gown, & you will perhaps allow me for the first
few minutes to bring & introduce to yourself & Mrs Phillips
my wife who regrets equally with myself our absence from Oxford
at the time when we had hoped to have been there to receive you
- a time which we trust will soon again recur. We shall be staying
with Chantrey during our short visit to London.
Believe me Yours Always Very
Truly
William Buckland
