Selected Letters Letter from Frederick Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava to G.F. Watts, dated 2 July 1900, arranging a visit to see the artist.

Avondale Hotel
68 a. Piccadilly W.
2nd. July 1900.

My dear Watts,
In the first place please excuse a typewritten letter for I have a rheumatic hand which prevents me holding a pen.

I should like very much to come and thank you in person for your goodness in sending me that beautiful photograph, but I am afraid of disturbing you. I am only in Town for a couple of days but if you would let me know what hours would suit you best I would come.

Yours sincerely,
Dufferin and Ava
