Letter from Samuel Prout to William Brockedon, dated 7 July 1824, speaking of a proposed journey in Brockedon's company to Sion and one alone to Italy.
 Letter

Brixton
Wed: 7.

My dear B,

Will endeavour to see you to morrow day - very sorry I could not meet Mr: Etty yesterday.

My seven (illegible) boots will not be ready till the end of the month, - & if I am permitted to travel in your superlative company I must not hope to enjoy it amidst snow - - I shall be most thankful if you will show me the way to Sion et tout droit - for Italy. - my time is limited & I want to make thousands of sketches.

Respects to Mrs Brockedon
truly yours
S.Prout
