Letter from Charles Wheatstone to William Brockedon, dated 19 November 1834, asking him to sign a petition for relief from the Artist's Benevolent Fund for a fellow artist.
 Letter

My dear Sir

The bearer of this Mr Minasi, an artist whom I have long known, finds himself under the necessity of applying to the Artist's benevolent fund. He has procured one signature, and if yours is disengaged I do not think you could write it for one on whom undeserved misfortunes
have so heavily (illegible).

Yours sincerely
C. Wheatstone
