Sir George Beaumont
did not introduce me - Wilkie at Mulgrave Castle 1806 - wrote
me an order to paint Dentatus for Lord Mulgrave & his Lordship's
coming to town I dined there before I had seen Sir George - you
know Sir George broke his honor with me - & to the day of
his Death felt pain at his treatment - I have never quarrelled
with any one who did not break his honor, and always quarrelled
with those who did and always will.
