Letter from Sir Thomas Lawrence to William Walker, dated 3 September 1825, regarding the enlargement of the portrait, payment for it and the proposed engraving.

Sir,

I have to acknowledge the favor of your Draft, for the remaining price of the Picture of Mr. Brougham.

I am sorry for the additional trouble of time that I have occasion'd to you, by enlarging the size of the Portrait, since you determine to extend that of the engraving.

The Picture however will probably be of some value, and the Plate itself of more consequence.
The head I shall not again touch, nor probably the background immediately round it. I think therefore
