A mountain side
in shadow receives more reflected light, from another across
a valley, than if a plain had run off from it and the objects
are more definitely made out . A midday sky, where no particular
effect is aimed at, blue alone does it, gradated very thin on
the white paper, as you come nearer the bottom, which from the
opposition of the sky, and the landscape when finished will appear
yellowish.
(illegible) you may mix with your ethereal blue a little Indian
ink. |
