Letter from William Collins to the brother of Sir Charles Eastlake, dated 28 January 1823, speaking of the progress that Eastlake is making as an artist.
 Letter

Wm Collins R.A.
London 11 New Cavendish St
Jan 28th 1823

Dear Eastlake

With no inconsiderable degree of pleasure I write to you in order to offer my sincere congratulations upon the great stride your Brother has made in his profession. I am delighted with this not only on account of the interest I must feel in him as your relative but because, as you know, I had predicted a favourable result from the marks of careful study I had observed in his former and early works.
