Dear Eastlake
With no inconsiderable degree
of pleasure I write to you in order to offer my sincere congratulations
upon the great stride your Brother has made in his profession.
I am delighted with this not only on account of the interest
I must feel in him as your relative but because, as you know,
I had predicted a favourable result from the marks of careful
study I had observed in his former and early works.
