My father, who did not like
the last proof, is delighted with the print as completed - (illegible)
that the face may be very little too long (which none but an
Artist is likely to find out) the likeness is said by every one
who has seen it to be most striking. - Once again I beg you to
accept my finest thanks, & my earnest wishes that it may
prove only half as advantageous to you as (illegible).
The addresses of the Reading printsellers are as follows - Mr
Edward Havell, London Street (8 copies - 4 proofs, 4 others).
Mr Cowslade, Market Place, (ditto) - Mr Bather King Street -
who shabbily says that he'll take them on sale, but to have the
commission if he do sell them & not to be responsible for
the money if he do not. My father advises your sending him half
a dozen as there is an excellent chance of his selling them.
Mrs Talfourd & the little
boy will make a charming picture & I am sure you will do
them justice - What a pleasant day you must have had with Mrs
Talfourd &
